Part of one of the modules we undertake in the second year of the Photography degree at The University of Plymouth is a 4-week group set construction project. The year is divided into 4 groups of about 10 people that undertake to create 'a room with a view' inside one of the photographic studios.
For our set, we decided upon the idea of a conspiracy theorists basement that degrades over time as the character gets more and more insane.
As a method of documentation, we set up a stills camera on automatic 2 min intervals that spanned over the 3 weeks that it was shot. We then pieced together the images and created a time lapse.
The only part where we sped up the intervals is when we took the set down, at this point the camera took a frame every 15 seconds.
